Low Income Housing Tax Credit Application Preparation — The Community Development Services team has experience packaging successful LIHTC applications, and has developed several tools and techniques for piecing together the LIHTC application puzzle. The following services are available:
- Consultation on the current Qualified Allocation Plan and LIHTC Application
- Application packaging
- Application data in electronic and paper forms
- Resources to maximize score
Gap Financing — In order to achieve affordable rents, a project may need to obtain grants or low-interest financing. Staff at CDS have strong relationships with funding partners throughout the state. We are able to assist our development partners in securing grants and loans via the following programs:
- State-based programs (HRF, HOME)
- Federal Home Loan Bank (AHP)
- Local Funds (HOME)
- Federal Programs (HUD, Rural Development)
- Other programs offered by private institutions
